Marie-Ange Eyoum Tagne, PhD

I’m Marie-Ange Eyoum Tagne, a product and AI executive, fractional product leader, author, and speaker.

For more than 20 years, I’ve built and scaled AI-driven consumer platforms at Meta, Amazon, Yahoo, Roku, McAfee, and Intel. I’ve taken products from 0→1 to global scale, led portfolios that reached more than $2B in revenue, and built experiences used by more than a billion people.

  • At Meta, I built an AI content management platform for audit efficiency across the Meta family of Apps (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads) that saves $300M a year.

  • At Yahoo, I launched an AI content moderation platform that lifted safety from 15% to 95%.

  • At Intel, I helped define the Atom-powered netbook, which reached more than 100 million devices.

Today I bring that experience to founders, CEOs, and boards as a fractional product executive and advisor. I work with growth-stage, venture-backed, and PE-backed companies at pivotal moments: finding product-market fit, defining an AI strategy, scaling what works, and building trust and safety into products from day one. My current work includes Frontier Commons, Seven International University, Faithful Ventures, and IMISI Healthcare, Africa’s first AI-native healthcare marketplace, where I also serve as an independent board member.

As a speaker, I help audiences move AI from hype to real business value and lead with purpose through constant change. I speak to executives, product leaders, and students at conferences, companies, and universities, and I’m represented by London Speaker Bureau and Innovation Women. My talks draw on the PURPOSE™ leadership framework I created.

My journey began in Cameroon and led me to UC Berkeley, where I earned my PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I share that story in my Amazon bestselling memoir, For Such a Time as This, which has earned more than 120 five-star reviews, and in my children’s book, The Girl Who Dreamed Beyond the Ocean.

I’ve taught product management at Stanford, teach AI through nonprofit programs, and mentor young people in STEM through the Greene Scholar Program, Girls for Change, and TechBridge. I’m fluent in English and French.
